Sanctum Pediatrics – Holistic Care from Newborns to Teens
Sanctum Pediatrics is a continuation of our commitment to Mother-Baby wellness and care. Our philosophy for honest, trustworthy, skilled and holistic care for mothers is expanded into Pediatrics. In Midwifery Model of Care, mother-baby is considered to be a holistic unit. Central to the philosophy of Midwifery AND to the Guiding Principle of Practice at The Sanctum is that we consider each baby as a unique individual, with her own physical and emotional needs, much like the mother.
To that extent, each baby’s care is Individualized, each Mother-Baby combination considered unique in nature and scope of care. When we care for our babies we consider things beyond the obvious – the environment in which baby is growing, quality and nature of her interactions with family, siblings, etc BEFORE medicines are prescribed. Many a time, we have seen babies who were previously very “cranky”, “fussy”, “poor eaters”, get measurably better just by mother/father/family trying a few simple changes in the care process. Of course where required, our Pediatrician is always present during Outpatient hours, and by appointment.
From the flu, fever, to more troublesome health issues, our Pediatric team is well equipped to help your baby or child recover in manner without side effects. From vaccinations to preventative care, our Pediatricians are highly skilled, empathetic, and are able to get through to kids in a responsive manner. That allows the visit to the Pediatrician a less frightening and apprehensive experience for the kids.
In addition, as part of our Continued Care practice for mother and baby Post Delivery, our Pediatric Care is available on Outpatient basis, including for Immunization purposes. Our Pediatricians give your little one, respectful, gentle care, and give you abundant, relevant information during regular checkups, giving you peace of mind.
Parents get plenty of time to get their questions answered. Developmental Milestones are explained, nutrition options discussed when you and your baby are ready to take that step, and preventive care information given so that your baby or toddler can be healthy and safe.
