Healthy Mother becomes a member of the global MotherBaby Network (MBNet), a group of organizations which represent the global vanguard of compassionate, humanistic and evidence-based care in childbirth.
Hyderabad, January 28, 2010: Healthy Mother Wellness & Care, India’s only institutional provider of comprehensive maternity services based on the Midwifery Model of Care, announced that the company has been selected as a member of the global MotherBaby Network (MBNet). With this selection, Healthy Mother is the first and only maternity services provider in India to be selected as a member of MBNet and joins only eight other institutions in the world who are part of this network.

The International MotherBaby Childbirth Organization (www.imbci.org) is a global non-profit, non-governmental organization created to develop, regularly update and promote the International MotherBaby Childbirth Initiative (IMBCI): 10 Steps to Optimal Maternity Services Worldwide. The organization was created in partnership with Childbirth Connection (www.childbirthconnection.org), a US-based not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of maternity care worldwide, through research, education, advocacy and policy. IMBCI recognizes and connects organizations whose practices are mother-baby friendly and MBNet has been formed with a desire to promote best practices in childbirth across the world.
