So I was going to write something on the benefits of cord clamping to your baby and how it may or may not affect your choice about cord blood banking – a hot topic these days! In the process of looking for a few good studies to quote, I found this fabulous website! “Why re-invent the wheel?” I thought – The website below says it beautifully and has included more than several really good references and links for you to check out.

At Healthy Mother we are supporters of delayed cord clamping as cutting the cord early can deprive your baby of up to one third of his or her precious blood supply. We are also primarily in support of our client’s wishes and should you choose to bank your baby’s cord blood we will support you in this decision too.

Okay, check out this website (http://www.bellybelly.com.au/articles/birth/cord-clamping-delaying-cord-clamping)
