First of all thanks a lot for helping me in giving birth to my son Praman…
The first time I came across you was on TV. One day I met my gynaec & came home, I asked her if I was supposed to do any exercises in order to give birth naturally she said nothing was required. On the way back home I was thinking I need some one who can explain about birth and someone who can teach me what I was supposed to do – we lead such a sedentary life unlike in olden days. After coming home I was surfing through the channels & i came across you. I googled about Healthy Mother & found your website. It was a perfect answer.
The classes were very informative, the ambience was informal & pleasant. The knowledge which u had imparted was very useful. Right in the first class which i attended i decided that i would give birth in Sanctum. SANCTUM – such a wonderful name.
All the prenatal check ups were great .I didn’t have to wait, rather u called me in advance if there were any change of plans.
Well coming down to giving birth .It is indescribable .I spent most of the time at home. I & my husband had a great time going thru each contraction. Finally I arrived at the hospital, Rinn checked me up & I was in transition phase of labor. She was great – she carried buckets of water to fill up the tub. As the contractions were building up she bore the brunt of my irritation. I was asking for epidural & she patiently explained why it couldn’t be given at that stage.
As soon as you arrived my heart lifted up..Your presence gave me confidence that even though the pain was unbearable seeing you I knew that I would get through. The last moments of pushing were agonizing as well as amazing. Giving birth is such an empowering process. All words fall short in describing it. Your guidance with fingers during pushing stage was of immense help. It was like a target which I had to reach. Finally my sons hair was visible & Pradeep’s voice got me thru the final step. You picked up my son & placed him on my belly..it was unbelievable, such a tiny bundle. Swapna was very good especially during the Jacobsens Manoeuvre & even post partum she was very patient & helpful.
Finally I would like to say a few words…..
Thanks to u that I didn’t become a football of others opinion. Thanks to you I was a confident mum who was sure of giving birth normally. During pregnancy people questioned me, how can u be so sure of giving birth normally, when nowadays c-sections are the rule. I use to tell them that giving birth normally is the natural order of things. God has given special power to women.(these are your words)
Thanks to u that I had cheerful disposition even in the last stages of pregnancy. Even on the day of giving birth I went to work.
Thanks to u that my husband knew what was happening to my body he gave more than 100% support to me.
Thanks to u that my son Praman was happy inside my womb, till the last moment of his birth and continues to be a very cooperative, happy & healthy baby.
Thanks to u that I am breast feeding my son.
Finally thanks for everything, every moment spent with YOU from our first meet till now has been wonderful & empowering.
